Payment Policy
At the time of booking, we will charge a deposit of either the full amount (if under US$500) or 50% of the stay/or US$500 (whichever is higher). If there is a balance it will be charged 45 days prior to your arrival.
Cancel 45 days prior to arrival to only be charged for 1 night plus bank fees or if a 2 week stay 2 nights plus bank fees.
Cancellation Policy
There is a 45 day cancellation policy. If you cancel prior to 45 days from arrival, we will refund all of your payment less a one night admin fee plus any bank fees. (For stays of two weeks or more the admin fee is 2 nights plus fees.) If cancelling within 45 days of arrival, the stay in NON_REFUNDABLE. We will try to rent the unit for you to try to give a partial refund.
Hurricane/Tropical Storm Policy
If there is a NAMED tropical storm or hurricane that is a direct threat, you will be refunded for any nights not stayed. If you have a booking and have not arrived, you may either receive a refund or delay your stay and we will hold your deposit. There will be no refunds for bad weather or rain that is not a tropical storm or hurricane.
Disclaimer
Caye Caulker is a Tropical Island located in a third world country in the middle of the ocean. We will not be held responsible for bad weather, insects, geckos, seaweed crabs etc. We do treat our property, but we have tropical critters that will come around. There will be no discounts or early departures over these issues. Sand flies and mosquitoes are a simple fact of life.
